Renovating a bathroom or toilet, designing and installing a completely new bathroom, the possibilities are endless. Below is a preview of the bathroom trends of next year:
- Bring the outside in
- Sustainability
- Natural materials with a soft appearance
- Scandinavian look: organic shapes
- Dare dark
- Optimal hygiene: shower toilet
Bring nature inside: earth tones and tone-on-tone
We start with the trend that we saw last year: earth tones and tone-on-tone. The bathroom is increasingly a place to retreat and relax: people opt for a lovely bath or rain shower. The colours chosen determine the atmosphere, they should be soothing. For that reason, we are increasingly seeing beige, terracotta, sand and brown in the bathroom. Tiles in this colour or painted walls in combination with gold details are particularly popular at the moment.
Ton-sur-ton is actually nothing more than one base colour, which comes back in different shades. This is of course ideal in a bathroom with earth tones. For example, choose a brown base colour that is combined with white sanitary ware and textiles in terra, beige or sand and other accessories in these shades, or in wood.
Sustainability
It is a bit obvious these days, but in 2023 we will increasingly see sustainable and water-saving products in the bathroom. It is therefore increasingly common to invest in environmentally friendly sanitary ware. You can think of water-saving toilets. In most cases, these ensure that less water is used during flushing, but the same water pressure. So you hardly notice it.
Natural materials with a soft look
This trend naturally ties in perfectly with sustainability: natural materials. People are increasingly finding it important that environmentally friendly production processes take place and materials such as plastic are less common. Natural stone, marble and wood are increasingly becoming part of the bathroom. These materials are often combined with gold or chrome, both of which have a softer look. Taps and accessories can all be made in the same noble surfaces, which ensures a luxurious look.
Scandinavian look: organic shapes
The Scandinavian trend continues in the bathroom. Organic shapes and Scandinavian influences fill the bathroom. The straight lines are disappearing more and more and are making way for round and organic shapes. People will opt en masse for round mirrors, bath mats with rounded corners and taps with a less straight finish.
Japandi, where Scandi and Japan come back, with influences of a slow and simple life. Perfect to create a space that embraces peace and well-being. The combination of the minimalism and functionality of Japanese design and the warmth and peace of Scandi design. Japandi is the perfect look for a functional and pleasant bathroom.
Intimacy through dark elements
A dark bathroom exudes luxury, provides a mysterious feeling but above all a feeling of security. Relax in a warm bath after a busy day at work? In a dark bathroom you have fewer stimuli to distract you, which makes you relax even better.
Optimal hygiene: the shower toilet
The shower toilet has undergone a complete revolution since its introduction more than 10 years ago. Today, the shower toilet is no longer an exception, but is increasingly becoming the norm. Technical details, ranging from a sensor for automatic opening of the valve, the user identification in the seat, to the wide range of adjustment options for the heated seat, shower spray and adjustable warm air dryer, guarantee optimal comfort and hygiene.
